Verse of the Day

﴿

Allah is the Light of the heavens and the earth. The example of His light is like a niche within which is a lamp, the lamp is within glass, the glass as if it were a pearly [white] star lit from [the oil of] a blessed olive tree, neither of the east nor of the west, whose oil would almost glow even if untouched by fire. Light upon light. Allah guides to His light whom He wills. And Allah presents examples for the people, and Allah is Knowing of all things.

Hadith of the Day

Abu Hurairah (may Allah be pleased with him) reported: The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Whoever relieves a believer's distress in this world, Allah will relieve his distress on the Day of Resurrection. Whoever eases the hardship of one in difficulty, Allah will make things easy for him in this world and the Hereafter. Whoever conceals the faults of a Muslim, Allah will conceal his faults in this world and the Hereafter. Allah helps His servant as long as he helps his brother. Whoever travels a path in search of knowledge, Allah will make easy for him a path to Paradise. No people gather in one of the houses of Allah, reciting the Book of Allah and studying it among themselves, without tranquility descending upon them, mercy covering them, angels surrounding them, and Allah mentioning them to those with Him. And whoever is slowed down by his deeds, his lineage will not speed him up."
